THE PRIMARY BATH

(2020 SHOWCASE)

The 43rd annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase House was held in a 6,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style home built in 1926. Each of the home’s 27 rooms was completely transformed by 21 Bay Area interior designers. For the Primary Bath Suite, LBI collaborated with Fatima Silva, principal of FDG Design Group, to create a luxurious spa experience for the soon-to-be homeowner while also bringing in highly specialized finishes and accessories by local artisans and craftspeople.

The serene San Francisco bathroom suite is bathed in natural light and wrapped in walls of white marble. Teak wood slats underfoot and Kohler smart-shower technology add to the spa-like experience. Fourteen slabs of marble were used to complete the space: 11 slabs for walls and floors, 2 for the ceiling, and 1 for the counter. Recipient of a 2021 Luxe RED Award.
